Make Your Own Snowboard
North Face Gravity Niseko is hosting a workshop this October to make your own snowboard.
Atsushi Gomyo has been snowboarding since his days as an elementary school student. During his early teens he became quite successful as a snowboarder and in his twenties began riding for the Niseko local Gentemstick team. His involvement with the Gentemstick family was what led him to become interested in the craft of board-making. This October, you could make your own board with Atsushi in an exclusive workshop right here in Hirafu. Make your own original board, and walk away with a hand-made board for ¥30,000 or less.

Date: 7 and 8 October, 2017
Location: The North Face Gravity Niseko
Capacity: 10 people (event requires a minimum of 5 attendees)
Fee:
- 1-day course → ¥25,000
- 2-day course → ¥30,000
Schedule:
- 10:00 am – 12:00 pm → Workshop begins.
- 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm → Lunch break (please bring your own lunch)
- 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm → Workshop continues.
- 4:00 pm – 4:15 pm → Workshop ends.
- 4:15 pm – 5:00 pm → Clean up

Atsushi Gomyo
Born in 1978 in Nagano, Atsushi started skateboarding at the age of 8 and riding not long after at the age of 13. During his teens he rose quickly in Japan's snowboarding circles and has seen sponsorship from a number of different brands, including Niseko's own Gentemstick. Currently, he is a PRANA PUNKS rider.
Atsushi also specializes in hand-shaping snowboards and has run board-making workshops around Japan.
