Niseko has been named in the mix of the world's most exciting ski destinations in the recently published, "Six Incredible Places to Ski This Winter" by Bloomberg.

According to the article, for those ready to ride soft powdery snow "there’s no better place in the world than Niseko, Japan’s top ski resort, on the island of Hokkaido".

It also notes the good dose of Japanese culture experienced while on a ski vacation in Niseko.

"Be sure to taste some Japanese whisky, indulge in some soba and yakitori, and soak in a traditional onsen. It’s the authentic Japanese twist on aprés ski," the article reads.

Niseko was featured alongside five other top ski destinations including Arctic Canada, Norway, Courchevel and Telluride.
