Winter is here in Niseko with the 7 day weather forecast showing not a day without snow. This comes as great news for Niseko locals and visitors to the region with yesterday'sGrand Hirafu lift opening being postponed until further notice. With the solid snowfall expected over the coming week, snow-lovers and riders eager to hit the slopes hopefully won't have to wait too much longer until to the grand opening.
Today's expected snowfall is 10.6cm, a solid 13.8cm tomorrow and 17cm forecast to fall on Monday. Temperatures are also going to feel a lot like winter with a low of -7 degrees Celcius today and -10 tomorrow. We've got our fingers and toes crossed for a weekend opening of Grand Hirafu.
