The final story, part 5, with Niseko snowboarder Toshiya Kasuga.

A carpenter by trade, Toshiya Kasuya balances construction work during the summer with snowboarding in winter. Toshiya learnt to snowboard in Hukaba, Japan before discovering powder and backcountry riding in Mt. Baker, USA. But his life truly changed when he visited Niseko for the first time, and he's still here almost 20 years later.

Rupert works for HT Holidays and returned to Niseko full-time in 2014, seven years after first discovering the resort's famous powder as a ski instructor. In between, he has worked in the ski industry in China and Canada, but in the end, couldn't resist a return to the resort that made him fall in love with the sport and the industry.
