Discover why more people are choosing to visit Niseko in March!

From quieter slopes, to stunning bluebird days and still plenty of activities, read on to learn why Niseko is becoming increasingly popular in March

Yes, while we love a great JaPOWDER snowstorm here during the peak winter months in Niseko, we also love it when March rolls around, and for good reason too!

Picture beautiful sunny bluebird days, fewer crowds, great discounts, and the ski season far from over - there are numerous reasons why March is an ideal time to plan your next visit.

Less crowds

Spring Skiing

The peak powder months of January and February are traditionally the busiest time of the year in Niseko. However, come March, the crowds begin to dissipate, allowing visitors to take in the stunning beauty and tranquility of the mountain.

With fewer people on the slopes, you can take advantage of shorter lift lines and be surprised at the amount of first tracks you'll be able to ride without even trying.

Hirafu Village also takes on a more peaceful atmosphere, giving you a better chance of scoring a walk-in table at your favorite restaurant or bar.

Stunning bluebird days - sometimes even with fresh powder!

Spring Skiing is just around the corner.

March brings with it excellent skiing conditions, with a high likelihood of fresh, powder snow falling from the skies until the end of the month.

On clear days, the views from any run within the resort are breathtaking, with Mt Yotei and Hirafu village providing a stunning backdrop to your day of riding the slopes.

Maximise your time on the slopes

With the start of spring bringing longer days, you can maximise your trip and make the most of the mountain.

Ski the best snow in the morning, explore the terrain with a snowmobile or snowshoe tour in the afternoon, and if you're feeling adventurous, get back on the mountain in the early evening by taking advantage of night skiing until Sunday 19 March at 7 PM.
