Development Updates in Hirafu Village, Niseko
We ventured out to see how some projects are progressing in town!
Every year, after the snow melts away from Niseko, the resort will be bustling with construction activities due to the limited months of Hokkaido's green season in which development works can be completed. These projects are set on changing the scene of Niseko for those who visit in the near future, so read on to stay updated on some of the on-going developments in town.
While carefully guarded by safety barriers, the on-going works for Setsu Niseko is no secret to the townspeople as construction trucks can be seen entering and exiting the site on the daily. Having its first steel column erected early May this spring, Setsu Niseko will see its doors finally open in December 2021.
Tucked away on the Upper Hirafu Village slope is Sansui Niseko. With its exterior looking almost complete, the final touches are making headway on the inside. This bespoke independent hotel is set to complete by the 2020/21 winter season.
Having eased into its 2nd phase, the scaffolding of two new townhouses at Panorama can be seen from afar and along the Shiribetsu River. Construction of these homes is scheduled for completion by December 2020.
Intuition Niseko will be the first exclusive onsen estate in Hirafu. Clad in white scaffolds and with interior works in rapid progression, construction at Intuition is going at full swing and will see its doors open by December 2020.
Constructed on a 17,000m2 land, the development works of this 34-unit cottage subdivision by Daiwa House show road structures have been carefully laid out in place. A 2-storey and single-storey steel-framed models of the cottage can be seen along the Hirafu East Village route.
