Summer shouldn't mean missing out on big air and speed. We bring you the where, when, how and how much of Niseko's best downhill and flow trails. From beginner to advanced there are course options for all skill levels. Niseko's two-wheeled scene has developed over the last few years to ensure all riders have something to enjoy.

Niseko Grand Hirafu Downhill Course

The opening of the Grand Hirafu Downhill Course coincided with the opening of the Summer Gondola this year. To ensure riders maximise their time on the course the gondola does all the heavy lifting taking riders and their machines to the start of the run. This course takes advantage of the famous ski resort slopes to provide a fast, exciting ride. There is 3 km of track with 475 m of vertical drop. Bring your own bike or rent one from Rhythm! This one is not for beginners so if you are trying out mountain biking for the first time see the flow trail below!

Niseko Grand Hirafu Flow Trail

Niseko Nine Grand Hirafu Flow Trail Mtb School 15

If you are not quite ready for the downhill course the Grand Hirafu Flow Trail provides a perfect introduction to mountain biking. With distinctive switch backs and large banks this course provides the flow feeling from start to finish. The trail is 1.4 km long and provides breathtaking views of Mt Yotei and the surrounding area. Niseko Mountain Bike School & Guiding offers lessons and rental!

Ginto Flow Trail

The Ginto Flow Trail or the Pavilions Trail is a 1.8 km flow trail built on the edge of Hirafu Village. This course is free to use and winds amongst the trees and tall sassa grass surrounding the Pavilions development. The Ginto Trail offers fun features for beginner riders and is also designed to provide advanced riders some enjoyment. You will need to bring your own bike or rent from Niseko MTB or Rhythm before you head to the Ginto Flow Trail.

Asahigaoka Flow Trail

The Asahigaoka Flow Trail opens for another summer season in 2019. This course is located past the train-station on the east side of Kutchan and provides challenges for those at every level. Deep berms, steep sections and great views of Kutchan and Mt Yotei make a day out at the Asahigaoka Flow Trail a great one. For more information contact Kutchan Tourism here! Niseko Mountain Bike School & Guiding, whose staff played a big role in creating this flow trail, can help you with lessons and rental!
