As the autumn air begins to roll in with September, why not work up a sweat at the Niseko Marathon Festival?

This year marks the event's 34th successful year! There are various event categories which are carefully split up so that anyone and everyone in the family can participate.

Event Date: 18th September 2016; rain-or-shine

Registration Opens: 8:30 am ~

Opening Ceremony: 8:45 am ~

Participation Fee: General Entry/High school students (all events) - 3500 yen

Elementary school students and junior high school students - 2000 yen

Parent/Young Child pairs - 4500 yen

*Discounts available to residents of Niseko town

How to submit an event application:

Via Post: To receive an application form, please call the Niseko Marathon Entry Center at 011-622-1100 and provide them your address. They will mail an entry form which you can complete and return. Please pay the entry fee via postal transfer (shoutei furikomi envelope).

Via Internet: Follow the link to Runnet (only in Japanese) to apply, there is an additional 205 yen commission fee that will be applied.

Application Deadline: 29th July 2016

Awards and Recognition:

  • Runners placing in the top 6 of each category.
  • All runners who finish the marathon will receive a certificate.
  • All participants will receive a participation prize.
  • Prizes include: T-shirts, onsen tickets to nearby onsen, Arishima Memorial Museum tickets, Niseko potatoes, Niseko Sports Park Golf tickets, Niseko Marathon Coupons (valued at 500 yen) - redeemable in Niseko town at various shops and locations.
